Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Your email address, when you buy a plan or ask for your marks by email.
• Your voice during practice, as audio and as a text transcript.
• Your round settings (role, company, level) and your answers, marks, notes and stories.
• Purchase records: plan, amount, date, refund status. Card and UPI details go to our payment partners and never reach us.
• Basic technical data: device and browser type, a random anonymous id, error logs.

We do not build voiceprints to identify you, and we do not sell your data.

Why we use it

• To run your mock, record it and mark your answers: your consent (the checkbox on the mic check screen) and the contract for the service you bought.
• To take payment, give refunds and keep tax records: contract and legal obligation.
• To keep the service safe and working: our legitimate interest.

AI use

Your interviewer is an AI, and your marks are written by an AI from your transcript.

Your recordings and transcripts are used to run your session and mark it.

How long we keep it

Recordings are deleted 30 days after they are made.

Saved takes keep their transcript and marks until you delete them. Their audio is deleted with the other recordings after 30 days.

Transcripts, marks and stories remain until you delete them.

Purchase and refund records are kept for the period tax law requires, under an id that no longer holds your email.

Request deletion of your recordings, transcripts, marks, stories and email by writing to [email protected].

Who sees it

Your recordings and scores are never shared with employers, recruiters or hiring platforms. Retake Room has its own database and storage; nothing is shared by id or table.

Service providers act on our instructions under contract: hosting and storage, voice and speech processing, AI processing, payment processing, email delivery, error and usage monitoring.

Authorities may receive data where the law requires.

Where it goes

Data may be processed in the United States and other countries.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, your rights include access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, and withdrawing consent at any time. Withdrawal does not undo earlier use. For requests, write to [email protected].

You may complain to your data protection authority, and in India to the Data Protection Board once it takes complaints. We do not sell or share personal data for advertising.

Adults

The service is for adults 18 and over.

Cookies and storage

We use cookies and storage needed to run the service and, if you agree, for usage measurement.

Security

Encryption in transit and at rest, with database access limited to the web service.

Changes

We post changes here and update the date. Material changes reach you by email.
